THE Beautiful Dark

This site-specific art installation in an ever-changing universe mixes mediums such as painting, drawing, sound and animation to invite the audience to examine what happens to the perception of a painting when the room is included and you are able to enter the work and let it surround you. 

The Danish contemporary artist Trine Boesen has always been interested in investigating the possibilities of painting. At the exhibition Into Dimension, she extensively transforms the entire main wing of Viborg Kunsthal into a staged universe where she continues this work.
At the exhibition Boesen presents her hybrid, nonhierarchical and free-flowing image universe of new works: paper works, paintings, installation and animation.
