WATERING MINDS

An abstract, experimental audio-visual installation rooted in the spirit of avant-garde film and expanded cinema. Watering Minds unfolds beyond the screen, transforming the Viborg Water Tower into a living, immersive space. Handmade frames, created with ink, spray paint, and digital gestures, merge the archaic with the contemporary. Sound becomes vibration — a physical, abstract presence in tune with the visuals. The work invites visitors into a meditative, non-narrative field where meaning emerges intuitively, shaped by space, sound, and personal memory.

Watering Minds is a project created by visual artist Marcell Mostoha and curated by PLASTIC Collective. It is part of the PLASTIC Artist in Residency program, supported by Viborg UNESCO Creative City and facilitated in partnership with The Animation Workshop – Center For Digital Art And Sciences and the Viborg Animation Festival.

The showcase at VAF 2025 presents the first step in the development of this project. We hope to define the course of further development through interaction with the Viborg audience.
